ScienceTunnel

A 170 meter multimedia tunnel served to present contemporary scientific research. The visitor would encounter the fundamental questions that modern science strives to answer in 12 sections along the tunnel:From the hunt for the tiniest particles of matter, the building blocks of life, the origin of diseases, the mystery of consciousness, and the problems of human societies, the visitor’s gaze was directed towards the future of the universe.

Exhibition design

The "ScienceTunnel" was engineered as a contiguous band of 12 segments composed of perforated metal plates, where the exhibits and media installations were attached. The shape was designed to evoke a linear particle accelerator. Video projections and slides where used to present rare, exceptional material from cutting-edge scientific research in Germany. The impression created by the visual information in each section were accompanied and enhanced by a custom "science-sound" especially composed for each section.
