BlueStage

An experimental design in interactive media installations and technology that combined innovative information architecture with a unique navigation system. The installation thematically dealt with current aspects of urbanism within a cultural context. Using the examples of Montpellier, Berlin and Copenhagen, it was shown how culture and migration are essential factors in modern city development.

Media Implementation

Four large projections within an isolated, atmospheric space acted as the media interface for the user/visitor. The installation transferred information vividly and clearly through sound, film, music, images and texts. BlueStage presented a unique model for the representation of complex themes by allowing the visitor to move freely in space while navigating through information at the same time. As a prototype, the installation was designed to provide information and feedback about the visitor’s behaviour in terms of their usage of the system to navigate through dense information systems in 3-dimensional space.
