The exhibition about modern medicine and the pharmaceutical sciences was planned, designed and completed by ArchiMeDes as an accompanying event for a convention of the national association of the Portugese pharmaceutical industry. The main focus and subject matter of the exhibition were the "human body" and the mode of action of pharmaceutical agents. The exhibition presented techniques and methods for the development of new medicine, results from cutting-edge pharmaceutical research, and it also touched upon current ethical questions related to the field as a whole.
Exhibition design
Saddle-shaped, illuminated displays establish the formal character of the exhibition. Fitted with a special material stretched over their frame, they can be imprinted with graphics and can also be used as a projection screen. Interactive exhibits, such as games or scientific experiments, as well as projections of specially produced scientific films and 3D animations, served to deepen the visitor’s understanding of the presented material.
